AT&T’s on-again-off-again free WiFi for the iPhone has finally been made official. The busy iphone-user-about-town will be able to access AT&T hotspots around the country – all 17,000 of ‘em, including those in Starbucks (which hardly counts as free as you have to buy a cup of gravel stewed in water).

A special Gadget Lab Imaginary Prize for the first reader who spoofs the user agent with a non-iPhone browser and sends a screenshot (my email is at top right).
