Truimph International has just launched its Solar Brasserie, but this won’t go on sale anytime soon. I suppose it was produced just to make a point (or two, pardon the pun) that it is possible to harness solar energy no matter what you’re wearing. Electricity generated from the brasserie will be wired to a mini electric bulletin board which will then display messages, although I’m not too sure what’s so interesting to read once your initial layer of clothes have already come off. The bra padding can be utilized to store water, but in order to drink, you’l need to insert a straw into the brasserie cup first. I wonder how many of these will fly off the shelves if it ever makes it there in the first place. (Read the full post about ‘Truimph International Solar Brasserie’…)

Okay, they’ve done it again. Created some more “foodie” flash drives, I mean. And this time around, it’s a tribute to cakes – say hello to the Cake Royale Series of USB drives. Targeted to budding geeks - age 14 upwards - the USB 2.0 series has some really gorgeous-looking cakes. Black Forest, Strawberry Torte, Fruit Plate Cake and the French Mille-Feuille. In case you’re wondering where the USB tip is (I was too), the flash drive is actually the knob-like structure with the crown stamped upon it, and lodges itself completely into the body of the cake. The drives will be available in capacities up to 4GB sometime this month, no word on pricing yet. Via Fosfor gadgets. (Read the full post about ‘Spoil yourself with Cake Royale flash drives’…)

Google Search is big, everyone knows that. But what we may not have know is how big. According to estimates, Google Search is on track to overtake Microsoft Windows business by this time next year. But will that be all the Redmond giant loses? The answer is unclear. MS Office has dominated for years and as we turn to info in the clouds (Google Apps) the answer isn’t as clear as it used to be. Googles answer to Office is at least handy, a downright bargain at best. Google is fighting hard to get its apps into business and some are starting to swing to Google. Henry Blodget, over at alleyinsider cites 3 main reasons for Googles success in comparing it to that of MS Windows: Both products are natural monopolies. Don’t you just hate those pesky mosquitoes when they seem to appear out of nowhere, especially during the summer? Napapijiri knows all about your aversion in getting bitten by mosquitoes and have developed this so-called Mosquitor Proof Jacket. Apparently this jacket also lets water run off it like wax by being waterproof, and is covered with a coat of “secret concoction of chemicals” that supposedly keeps away those vampiric parasites. The jacket won’t come cheap at approximately $310 though.

Don’t you just love it when the old meets the new? Case in point - Daniel Soltis’s Moving Parts project which is a “two-player hybrid physical/video pinball game that uses variations in game rules to elicit different social interactions between players.” Digital pinball on a wooden table? I’m all game. This is no ordinary pinball game, however, as you will be able to pit your reflexes against an opponent at the other end of the table in “competitive” mode by trying to sink his ball, while the two of you can actually work together in a co-ip mode while trying to keep the balls in play as long as possible.

![iPhone 3G Settings [pic]](/wp-content/thumbs/iphone-3g-settings-pic.jpg)
Still doubt that the 3G iPhone is coming soon? This settings screen with a 3G toggle switch (see image below) was found in the latest beta release of the iphone’s 2.0 firmware. Why would you want to turn off 3G? Because 3G drains cell phone batteries very quickly. In this screenshot, Apple has included a toggle setting to turn 3G off, and use AT&T’s slower but more battery friendly EDGE network instead. Probably a very useful feature if you are almost out of juice. When can we expect to see a 3G iPhone and how much will it cost? (Read the full post about ‘iPhone 3G Settings [pic]’…)

Are Kodak that desperate for business when it comes to digital photo frames that they’re offering theirs to feature 100 pre-loaded photos? Of course, these photos won’t consist of random shots from other people as you will need to select 100 uploaded images from your Kodak Gallery account, and they will be shipped on an SD memory card along with the frame. Sounds like a pretty nifty idea if you’re going to present a Kodak digital photo frame as a gift for somebody. After all, this move by Kodak will help you save - what, a minute transferring photos? A seemingly great source to see just what is coming in the world of technology, the FCC once again is showing off some live image pics of a new handset. This time its the Motorola L800t, with a nice shot of the front and back. The Motorola L800t is a candybar style handset that has yet to have many specs revealed. From the image you can see that it appears to have a touchscreen keypad, possibly with some feedback upon touch. In addition there is also two cameras, the standard on the back, and also a front camera in what could be used for video calling. Otherwise it comes in a nice shade of black, hey we told you the details were light. The still unannounced L800t is however expected to hit the market in China.
